GREAT FALLS — The Veterans of Foreign Wars organization in Great Falls is asking for your help.
They need funding for flag replacements at the Highland Cemetery.
Each time they have to order the three-flag set, it costs $430.
Jim Porter, chaplain of the VFW chapter, said he sees no reason to not give for a free county we live in today.
“These are men and women who went before us and we are standing here free today. Because of these people here. And if that’s not reason to donate then I don’t know what is, because we are free because of them."
Any donations may be sent to the downtown branch of Stockman Bank, 25 5th Street North, Great Falls, 59401. Indicate the donation is for the RAISE THE FLAG FOR THE HOLIDAY account. You can also contact Porter at 406-277-4499. Donations are tax-deductible.
