BILLINGS – Egg My Yard, a business providing an Easter-egg-hiding service run by a Billings Senior High School student, is expanding in its second year.

Madison Martinez is the owner of Egg My Yard. Billed as the “local Easter Bunnies,” she hides plastic Easter eggs filled with candy in the yards of busy parents.

“Last year I think we had 38 houses. This year, we are doing 150, and we are still accepting orders so that has been a little bit crazy,” Martinez, a senior, said.

She started the business in 2018 with a friend. The young entrepreneurs were inspired by their parents and their involvement with Business Professionals of America in school.

Unfortunately, Martinez’s business partner had to leave the egg-hiding business this year due to other commitments.

So she decided to take it on herself.

“I was a little bit nervous doing it alone this year,” Martinez said. “Then I kind of realized that we already have a support system going. Let’s keep it going. I don’t want to leave these people out in the blue all alone for Easter. So I decided I’m going to do it alone this year.”

Egg My Yard has gotten so big that Martinez needed to hire employees.

Martinez says Billings has welcomed her business venture with open arms.

“The Billings community has been awesome to work with. They have been really kind to me. I’m getting positive feedback all of the time,” Martinez said.

Egg My Yard still has spots open if you need a visit from the local Easter bunnies. You can reach them for pricing at 406-855-2280, or find them on Facebook here.
