Helena man dies in rollover crash near Hauser Lake

(UPDATE, 3:45 p.m.) The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed in a rollover crash Tuesday night.

Dewayne Lyons, 54, of Helena died after a crash near Devil’s Elbow by Hauser Lake around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Lyons was the car’s only occupant, according to Captain Alan Hughes with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Hughes said he was ejected from the vehicle.

Several agencies, including the LCCSO, the Montana Highway Patrol, Tri-Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, and St. Peter’s Health, responded.

Two different people called the crash in and one person attempted CPR, according to Hughes.

The crash is under investigation.
