KALISPELL — A father and son need your help in identifying and locating the owner of a camera that mysteriously ended up at Finley Point along the southeast corner of Flathead Lake.

Karl Kachigan and his son Peter were relaxing on their dock when Peter noticed something odd on a dock next to them.

Looking closely they found out it was a GoPro video camera attached to some sort of balloon. Peter said he took the camera out and found a memory card which surprisingly still worked.

Uploading the footage to a computer they discovered lost footage from February of 2018. Combing through the footage they noticed an airport, lakes, and mountains.

Now they're trying to return the lost footage to its proper owner: "We have no idea who the kid is. We are trying to connect up with that boy or his parents so you know, he can get his footage back," Karl said.

"He has remnants of a good camera. But at least he could understand what he's done and what transpired," he added.

Karl says after some research he believes the camera and mystery man are somewhere near Moses Lake in Washington.
