HELENA — Jump Day invites anyone to come to the arena to learn how to jump, riding a horse. The arena accepts all levels of horse riders.

The name originated from “Sunday Jump Day.”

18-year-old, Melody Perry, is the founder of these jumping series where horse riders meet about once or twice a month to learn to jump.

Perry began this event because she noticed there was a lack of English horse riding in Montana.

She says this event is a great way for western riders to learn English riding ways.

“It’s open to both English and western riders as well. If you want to jump big fences, you should probably have an English saddle but we’ve had western riders come out here on horses and hop over fences and they just had a blast so, it’s really open to everyone,” says Perry.

Perry will be off to college Fall 2020 but plans to continue the jump days for those interested.
