The Montana Television Network will proudly sponsor the 2020 Treasure State Spelling Bee, moving the annual event this year from Billings to Montana State University in Bozeman.

The event will be held Saturday, March 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Strand Union Building (751 W. Grant Street) on campus at MSU.

The winner of Montana's state spelling bee will go on to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is administered on a not-for-profit basis by The E.W. Scripps Company from its headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. The E.W. Scripps Company took ownership of the Montana Television Network in May 2019.

Local winners will compete against the rest of the state.
