The wind remains prominent on Thursday with temperatures right on track with average.

Although not as impressive as Thursday, the wind will remain strong as we enter the weekend.

Wind gusts around 30 to 40 mph are likely this afternoon with stronger gusts along the Hi-Line.

Temperatures remain more on track with average today with highs in the high 60s.

Another cold front is expected to move in early this evening.

Along with this front a few showers are expected overnight.

Most of the rain will remain concentrated over the mountains with just a few break away showers in the plains.

A few showers are expected to carry over into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will trend below average this weekend as the cooler air remain camped out over the state.

The wind is also expected to remain brisk through the weekend.

Temperatures will begin to regain some strength on Monday as a ridge of high pressure begins to build off the Pacific Coast.

Forecast models are suggesting that temperatures will once again climb above average as this pressure system builds.

I does not appear we will experience the full effects of this ridge next week as it is anticipated to remain to our west.

If this pressure system does end up breaking loose and tracking our way, temperatures will have the potential to be much warmer next week.
