BUTTE — Two people died in a two-vehicle crash in Beaverhead County on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), it happened at around 9:12 p.m. at mile marker 41 near Fishtrap.
A westbound Ford F-150 on MT Highway 43 reportedly crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Toyota Tundra.
The MHP says both vehicles became fully engulfed in flames, and the two drivers died at the scene.
The agency says the drivers are unable to be identified at this time.

The report says speed and alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash, but did not specify whether that applied to one or both drivers.
The two victims were the only occupants of the vehicles.
